A blind drive must be straight and true, for the tree-lined drop to the fairway must be negotiated carefully. The elevation change will help to lengthen all drives.

Logic says to hug the inside of the fairway to reduce the approach length, but the green reveals itself better from the left side of the fairway, even though the bunker and side slopes challenge this option.
